High School Site Director

The High School Site Director manages all aspects of A World Fit For Kids' High School ASSETs Expanded Learning Program site, including student recruitment, staff development and management, quality program implementation, scheduling, student attendance, and financial responsibilities. The High School Site Director also cultivates trusting relationships with students and parents, long-term partnerships with all stakeholders including district partners, administration, staff, and the entire school community. The High School Site Director must be an outstanding adult role model, mentor, and coach that helps to bridge and prepare students for navigating their future, with the goal of becoming successful adults in their community and world.


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, however an AA/AS or equivalent will be accepted with commensurate experience

  • 2 years of work experience in an Expanded Learning Program, with Older Youth programming experience preferred

  • 2 years of experience in a Management or Supervisory role. 

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required, with a preference for a candidate that is Biliterate in Spanish and English

  • Are culturally literate with demonstrated experience, coupled with an ability to create trust and quickly integrate with the entire school community that we serve

High School Coach/Mentors work directly with an assigned class of up to 20 high school students, acting as a positive adult role-model, coach and mentor.  HS Coach/Mentors must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provide an emotionally and physically safe and nurturing environment for the students they serve.  A HS Coach/Mentor ability to establish relationships through leadership, communication, and patience will be required to give our students the stable, positive, and inclusive atmosphere they will need to be successful.  Helping our high school students to reach their potential does take a great amount of hard work, flexibility, and commitment.


  • AA/AS or equivalent, (48 college semester or 60 college quarter units)

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required, with a preference for a candidate that is Biliterate in Spanish and English.

  • Minimum age of 22 years old.

  • Must pass Live Scan (fingerprinting criminal background check) 

  • Must pass TB Test

  • Have 6 months experience working with youth in an after-school or recreational environment, (older youth preferred), or be in a post-secondary course of study in education

  • Advanced Mathematics skills are a definite need, and therefore a plus when applying
