Not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas... June 10-11, 2010 marked the 2nd Annual Kevin Sorbo Golf Tournament, building on the star-studded Vegas experience of the inaugural event. Over 100 golfers and celebrities participated in 2 days of phenomenal golf, fantastic food and exciting entertainment, all to support A World Fit For Kids! The event was a hit, thanks to our Major Sponsors, which included: DragonRidge Country Club, CA Internet Security, SP Industries, Canon, Outback Steakhouse and Maui Jim. The event kicked off Thursday night with a gifting suite, featuring luxury products from Ribbed Tee, Tocs Watches, Traverse Bay Farms/Fruit Advantage, Aloe Products, Skin Again, Vapor Sky, Riceworks, Sensy Chocolate, and Signature Designs by LaLa. Then the celebration began with a pairings party, live/silent auction and dinner at Planet Hollywood. The evening was concluded with a hilarious comedy performance by the Edwards Twins.
On Saturday all golfers and celebs were greeted by Maui Jim at the DragonRidge Golf Course in Henderson, NV, and given a pair of sunglasses before heading out to the links for an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Tee sponsors included: Fatboy USA, Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Kevin Sorbo International Fan Club, and Dr. Gadget. A delicious, hot lunch was provided by Outback Steakhouse. After a day of great golf and late afternoon cocktails at the country club, players boarded buses and headed back to The Strip for a post-tournament celebration. The evening’s Awards Dinner premiered A World Fit for Kids! new promotional video, and afterward guests were treated to a very special private concert featuring rock vocalist/guitarist Jason Charles Miller and R&B musician Javier Colon. The overall event was a great success, thanks to the commitment and participation of all the incredible individuals who supported Kevin Sorbo and A World Fit for Kids!
